We're looking for people who love animals to a ridiculous level, love being outside (even in February!), and who are flexible, dependable and professional. Work around your schedule and leave the bulk of your day free for a second job or other pursuits. We do require a commitment of at least 3 weekdays per week, but those days and hours worked can be flexible.
We're always available to help you with any issues, whether pet-related or otherwise. A Neighborhood manager or Senior Pet Care Pro is always on hand to jump in if things go sideways. Also, we only schedule employees for walks with dogs they have met previously with a manager, and schedule compatible dogs on group walks.
We are growing and always looking for people in a variety of positions. Plus we offer generous compensation increases when hitting key benchmarks.
We offer paid sick leave to employees after an initial hiring period. As an employee of Boston Fetch, you are also eligible for state medical and family leave programs.
When you are hired by Boston Fetch you are a full employee, not an independent contractor. This means we contribute to Social Security, Medicare and other programs, and handle all withholding and tax payments. We also have comprehensive worker’s compensation insurance coverage for all staff.
Payday is weekly each Friday by direct deposit. There are also some other benefits with our payroll processor, Gusto, such as split pay deposits, free interest earning checking account, tax tools and more (see https://gusto.com/product/wallet).
Customer can tip easily and frequently through our mobile app, and staff keep 100% of those tips.
Since staff are required to use their phones and often cars, we pay a supplement to cover some of these costs (according to weekly income levels).
Many staff supplement their main working schedules with weekend, evening and sitting services (when available).
