Convenience
Our job is to make you (and your pet's!) life easier:
Easy scheduling, editing and cancelling of walks and visits with Scout (mobile app)
No charge for same day cancellations, as long as we are notified before 8:00 AM
New service requests and changes can be made in Scout until 8:00 PM the night before the service (you can always text us if it’s after that but we can’t guarantee we’ll have capacity)
Flexibility of payment types, frequencies and auto-billing through Scout
No extra charge for early morning, evening or weekends (though off peak walks, meaning before 10:00 AM or after 5:00 PM, and weekend walks, are charge at the 'Private' rate)
We are available at all times for emergency requests or when you are locked out and need a key
Receive check-in, check-out alerts complete with notes, photos and GPS maps of the walk by email and/or mobile (plus the option to turn them off)
We are only closed completely on the 4th of July, Thanksgiving Day and the day after, Christmas Day and New Year's Day (though please request early for other holidays as they fill up quickly!)
Safety
We value your pet's well-being very strongly, and take a number of steps to make sure that you can trust us with your pet:
Scout allows you to see when one of our walkers has checked-in, where they are going on their walk with GPS, and when they check-out
All of our staff are reference and background checked by Checkr, and are trained in proper ways to greet, leash and walk dogs of all types
Our staff are staff, as in paid employees and not independent contractors
We max out our groups at 3 dogs at a time, allowing your pet (and our staff!) some breathing room and the chance for a more personal and enjoyable walk
We are an 'on foot' (or mostly 'on bicycle') service, and keep pet transport in cars to a minimum
All our staff fully insured and bonded by Pet Sitters Associates
